Patsy Jean Johnson Pinson was born April 10, 1951 in Denver, Colorado to the late Robert Lee Johnson and Emma Jean Johnson. Pasty was raised in Denver, Colorado Patsy was educated through Denver Public Schools. She attended Columbine Elementary, Smiley Middle School and graduated from East High School in 1969. After graduating from East High School, Patsy moved to Boulder and attended Colorado University. After spending a year at the University, she returned to Denver.

Patsy met and later married her first love, Lewis “Juggie” Cook. To this union, Germaine Anthony Cook whom she referred to as “Germ” was born. Patsy later separated from Reggie, and married Jessie Braleham. To this union she became the loving mother to two additional children, Pam and Amelea “Shay Shay”. Patsy made it very clear to Pam and Shay Shay that they were not her stepdaughters. She treated them as her own and despised the term “step-mother”.

Despite the obstacles set out before her, Patsy diligently continued to raise her three children, whom she had a loving and close relationship with. Germaine lived the majority of his youth out of state, but would return to Denver, in 2017. Germaine was a loving and respectful son, who cherished his relationship with his mother. Patsy’s daughters often emphasized to others that she was the only mother they ever knew. Their lives were forever changed when she took them under her wings. Patsy taught them everything and gave them a fair chance to be successful in life.

Patsy one day met a nice gentleman named Tommy Pinson. The two joined in holy matrimony and would spend the next 30 years together, until his passing. Everyone who attended this wedding will forever remember that it was Halloween themed, and this left quite the impression on their guest. Tommy and Patsy made a lovely couple, on Fridays, they would host happy hour at their home. Patsy and Tommie played music, danced, made great treats and always made their guest feel at home.

To know Patsy was to know that she was a one-of-a-kind lady and friend. She spent a lot of time with her friends, Freida, Charlotte, Sydney, Glo, Nancy and Francine. She was quirky, funny, blunt and a faithful servant to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Pasty had been a member of The East Denver Church of Christ since she was a child.
