Freddie William “Chief” Goode, was born on July 31, 1975 to his parents Clara Mae and Fred Lee Goode. He was the 2nd child born to this union.

Chief grew up on the 2400 block of Niagara Street in Denver, Colorado. As a child he enjoyed playing outside with his friends and family. Chief was a gifted football player, he played for Prince Hall NYFL football team. Chief was very active in his youth, he loved to go camping, singing, performing skits, and entertaining his friends and family.

Chief was educated through Denver Public Schools and later received his high school equivalent diploma. He would later earn an associate degree in Horticulture. Chief’s teachers often commented on how delightful of a young man he was. Those who knew him, would describe him as charming, respectful and as a people’s person.

During his later teenage years, Chief met a young lady by the name of Michell Cattisch and they welcomed to this world their beautiful son, Delone Goode.

As chief matured, he became very family oriented. He took pride in mentoring to the youth, especially his nieces and nephews. He emphasized the importance of learning from the mistakes you make and using these lessons to be better prepared in the future.

Chief spent the last 12 years of his life in Colorado Springs, CO. He worked as a General Manager at Grease Monkey for several years. Chief also worked as a Bouncer, Truck Driver, and Assistant Manager at Papa John’s Pizza.

Chief was also known for calling at very random times, it would not be a surprise to receive a call from him in the middle of the night, checking in to see how you were doing or to even share a laugh with you. He will always be remembered for his bear hugs, his thunderous laughter, big smiles, and appreciation for the joys of life. Chief departed this world on May 29, 2021 and he will truly be missed.
