Eugene Louis Robinson of Rome, New York was born to his parents, Helen Louise and Woodrow Willie Robinson on April 12, 1948. He was raised with his siblings, Robert, Raymond, Linda, Woodrow Jr., Maxine, Mavis and Clifton. Being that he had great examples around him, he took pride in protecting his family. He was educated through Rome Free Academy, and was a proud graduate of the class of 1966.
After completing high school, Eugene attended Texas Southern University. In 1979, Eugene moved to Colorado. A hard worker indeed, he was able to gains lot of experience by working in several industries. At one point in his career, he was a proud Chef, he worked in catering and also worked as a Retail Manager at the Colorado Convention Center.
Several years after moving to Colorado, Eugene was blessed to become the father of Kristen Cullum. It was a life changing experience watching her grow.
Eugene met a lovely lady named Sandra Jordan, and they were blessed with each other’s presence for 27 years. Sandra describes Eugene as kind, giving and very polite.
Those that knew Eugene also describe him as considerate, patient and loving. He always had a smile on his face when he greeted others, and had a way of cheering you up, even on a bad day. Eugene always made time for others, if he felt that you needed him, he was always there.
During his free time, Eugene enjoyed cooking, he could make many delicious dishes, and did not need a lot to make it happen. He was also committed to serving and was a devout member of the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation of Denver. He trusted in the Lord with all of his heart. Eugene’s grandchildren, were an additional source of pride and joy. Anytime he could spend time with them, he didn’t take it for granted. He will truly be missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow W. Robinson.
Eugene passed away peacefully on September 11, 2022. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother of 101 years, Louise Robinson; his spouse, Sandra Jordan; his daughter, Kristen (Landry) Cullum; his sisters, Linda Mondun, Maxine Robinson, and Mavis Cain; his brothers, Robert Elmo (Maria) Robinson, Raymond D. Robinson, Woodrow W. Robinson jr., and Clifton Robinson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
