PRECIOUS MEMORIES CHRISTINE BELL HOBLEY Christine Ball was born on August 16, 1941 to her parents Matthew B. Bell and Lee Ester Bell. Christine was loved and raised by Rose Davis, surrounded by her brother Matthew B. Bell, Jr. and her sisters Anniie Mae, Mary Lee and Bernice. She and her sisters and lil brother would stick together and take up for one another and didn't let anyone pick on them. When younger she liked to dance, go to the movies Thursday night 50 cents a car load, and go to football games. Christine and her sisters and other family member would travel to Hobbs, New Mexico to see B.B. King, Bobby Bland and all the Blues singers back in the day. Christine received her formal education by graduating from Blacksheare High School in Midland, Texas. In 1961 at the age of 20, Christine united in holy matrimony to Willie Bell. To this union, five children were born, Linda R., Willie J. Christopher W., Matthew B. and Anthony R. Bell. The family shared many happy and precious moments together. Christine was a loving Mother, caring friend, and strong disciplinarian. Christine believed in the order of God and family first and instilled this in her children. Christine move to Denver in 1972, she loved living in Denver, she really enjoyed the changing of the seasons, she would always say how beautiful the snow looks, the mountain scenery when looking west and how she could enjoy the summers because it's not hot as Texas. By profession, Christine in the healthcare industry until she retired. She was hardworking, dedicated and performed her duties with a spirt of excellence. Christine was s fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time she loved to cook, and a variety of foods there was never a problem for friends to get a home cooked meal. She loved to watch football games with her sons and their friends. Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys, but since moving to Denver she also liked John Elway and the Denver Broncos. She loved reading the Bible and listening to Gospel music. She also loved watching her favorite shows Matlock, The Young and Restless, Days of our Lives and Dallas just to name a few, but most importantly, chilling with her kids talking about life. Christine will forever be loved and cherished by her family and friends alike, as she was truly one of a kind. She will be remembered as strong, compassionate, beautiful inside and out, peaceful and generous. Always putting others before herself was common, giving her all and her last was natural. Christine loved the Lord and taught her children to put him first in their lives. She taught them to pray and believe that God will deliver, to be strong in adversity and hold tight to the Word of the Lord. To keep their heads up and push forward to a blessed and prosperous future. Her teachings they will forever hold near and dear to their hearts. God couldn't have blessed us with a better Mom, friend, confidant and counselor all in one. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bell, her father, Matthew B. Bell, her mother, Lee Ester Bell; her sisters, Annie Mae Bell and Rose Davis. Christine Bell Hobley departed this life to the embrace fo the Lord on May 25, 2017, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory include her five children, Linda R. Bell, Willie J. Bell, Christopher W. Bell, Matthew B. Bell and Anthony R. Bell, her grandchildren, Marvin Rowe, Malcom Rowe, Michael Rowe, Darnell Bell, Zhane Bell, Taylor Bell, Joseph Bell. Christian Bell, Kadisha Bell, Darby Bell, Na Bell and SSiah Bell.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and many friends.
