“BABY CHANDA”

Sun Rise

Chandra Alexis (Lexi) Swain entered this world December 28, 1992 to Patrice “Tricey” Swain and Tyrone Chandler. She was the youngest of four children, a beautiful baby and a light to the world. Chanda cried about everything! But would fight just as hard. She has one older sister Denotra ‘’Bree’’ Swain and two big brothers, Jashar ‘’Shar’’ Swain and Maurice Eric “Ricky” Futrell. Chandra's step-father Maurice Futrell also helped raise her. Being the youngest she was surrounded by not only her immediate siblings but her cousins that she considered brothers and sisters (Chance, Shamarrae, Blake, Ebonii and Michelle and her uncle Jason) who were all present at her birth. At that time, they were all presented with a part of her umbilical cord and left them all with her joyful spirit and a piece of her. Then there was the younger cousins Sam and Jason Jr. who she truly adored and “Money” Jasyir, the only one that Chanda would allow to go toe to toe with her……………..Although she loved all of her cousins aunts and uncles unconditionally, there was a bond between them all that could not be broken or managed those near or far away, which are many.

She received her education in Denver, CO. She worked various jobs in the retail and food industry which allowed her to utilize her unique smile and outgoing personality. No matter what life threw at her she was always willing to help her family and those she considered family. She had many friends, too many to name, but not too many to love. She was made from precious jewels; she had a heart of gold and a “DIAMOND” smile that would brighten up any room she entered.

She loved having her hair done, she loved dancing, swimming, decorating and most of all family gatherings at “Auntie Bay Bay” (Auntie Chan) and Uncle Hansels house. She would bring joy and laughter to the gatherings in the most loving way possible. For everyone that knew her, knew that she was the voice of the party. AS they say, “The party didn’t start till she walked in”.

Chanda’s world was her 3 children Autumn, Serenity and Baby Russell and even though her children were her everything, she still managed to spread her love to all her friends and family with open arms and a smile.

She became a mother in 2009 giving birth to Autumn Michelle Swain and then again giving birth to Serenity Aubriella Robinson in 2015 and then once again in 2019 with her baby boy Russell Davis Jr. Nothing in this world was more important than the love of her children.

Chanda will truly be missed by everyone.

Rest Easy Angel,

When I am Gone

Release me let me go. I have so many things to see and do.

You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears be thankful for our many beautiful years

I gave to you my love; you can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness.

I thank you for the love you each have shown. But now its time I travel on alone.

So, grieve a while for me, if grieve you must then let your grief be comforted by trust.

It’s only for a time that we must part. So, bless the memories within your heart.

I won’t be far away, for life goes on.

So, if you need me, call and I will come, though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near.

And if you listen with your heart you’ll hear.

All my love around you soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone

I’ll greet you with a smile and say

‘’Welcome Home’’
