Albert Kimbrough

Albert “Butchie” Eugene Kimbrough was born on October 1st, 1958 in Denver, Colorado. He was the 4th and youngest child of Thomas and Eleanor Kimbrough.  He was a brother to Anthony Kimbrough (Aurora, CO), Michael Kimbrough (Sturgis, SD), and Leslie Nwoke (Aurora, CO).

While growing up in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver, he attended Denver Public Schools and played little league football for the Pirates organization. Expressing his love for music, he played both the guitar and drums. As a teen, he was a partygoer who went from house to house in the days of back yard and basement house parties. He loved doing landscape work and fixing odd things. He was a life-long avid Denver Broncos fan and loved playing cards and searching for unique finds.

While he had no children of his own, he loved being an Uncle to Davonne, Myra, Andrea, Nnena, Bryan, and Vanessa.  He was a great Uncle to Elijah, Denzel, Shaeya, Emmett, Milo, Kingston, Zaire, Teigen, and Saqqara.

In later years, he assisted in the care of both his father and maternal grandfather as they aged. He will truly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Albert passed away on April 18th, 2022 at Denver Health Medical Center. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor; brothers, Anthony and Michael; sister, Leslie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
