Wenda C. Brewer

Wenda Chevelle Brewer - Thomas, was born on December 21, 1974 in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Lindetta Brewer and Anthony Scott. She was raised with her brother, Darryl Brewer. From an early age, Wenda developed a nurturing spirit. From the simple gestures of asking people how they are doing; to finding ways to be helpful, she was simply delighted to lend a hand.

Education was very important to Wenda, when she graduated from high school, she furthered her education by attending the Community College of Aurora where she earned her master’s degree in Education, she gained more degrees in her career to where she worked up to become an director. She spent many years of her career working at Primrose, and later continued her exemplary work at Global Village, baby topia, and morning star. Wenda always performed her duties with a spirit of excellence.

To know Wenda was to love her. She was known for her vibrant personality, which illuminated every room she entered. Wenda’s passion extended beyond the classroom as she cherished spending time with family and her friends, Renee and Melony. She would accept hers kids friend as her own kids. Many know her as mommy but most know here as Wendy and whether it was simply celebrating a birthday, or just getting together, she enjoyed this quality time with others and made them feel special but as she would always say “don’t mess with my kids”.

Wenda met a young man by the name of Ronald “Ronnie” Thomas in the mid 1990’s. They were later joined in holy matrimony on March 23, 2003 in Denver Colorado and July 14th , 2018 in Las Vegas Nevada. Wenda and Ronnie endured life together through thick and thin, which only strengthened their relationship. They enjoyed 34 years together. To this union, Tony, Jhada, Jhane, Jhayonna and Ronald were born.

Wenda gained an additional source of pride and joy with the birth of her grandchildren, Alaya, Justice and Azreal. She loved spoiling them on their birthdays and attending school events.

She is preceded in death by Melvina A. Delille, Esther M. Scott-Taylor Rhoda A. Gray, and Sandra Kizzee.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald "Ronnie" Thomas; her daughters, Jhada L. Thomas, Jhane T. Thomas, and Jhayonna R. Thomas; her sons, Tony D. Brewer and Ronald J. Brewer-Thomas; as well as her mother, Lindetta Brewer; father, Anthony Scott; and brother, Darryl Brewer; grandchildren, Alaya, Justice, and Azreal; additional family members and friends.

Wenda had an impact on each and every person she met; lived an exceptional life and her family and friends have cherished memories they will hold onto forever.
