Obituary

Wanda L. Norman was born on March 17, 1960, in Louisiana to her parents, Rosemary and William Moore. She was the third child born in the family and was raised with her siblings, Joyce, Monica, Rhonda, Michaelle and William. As a child, Wanda took a liking to gymnastics, she stayed active through her youth which included getting in trouble from time to time.

Wanda was educated through the Denver Public Schools system, she proudly graduated from Manual High School, laying the foundation for a life filled with resilience and determination.

A significant chapter in Wanda’s life began when she met Tony Wilkins at Fitzsimmons Base in Denver, Colorado. Wanda was blessed with two wonderful children, Latrice Wilkins and Dominique Wilkins. She embraced motherhood wholeheartedly and later found joy in her role as a grandmother to her beloved granddaughter, Milani Wilkins. In Wanda’s eyes, Milani could do no wrong.

Wanda had quite the personality, she was known for being the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter to others. Wanda was a woman of faith who knew that her help came from the Lord, she attended church services at Peaceful Rest Baptist Church.

In her free time, she found happiness in shopping, keeping her surroundings tidy, and sharing jokes with friends and family.

Wanda is survived by her children, Dominique Wilkins and Latrice Wilkins; her granddaughter, Milani Wilkins; her brother, William Moore; and sisters, Joyce Ward, Rhonda Norman, Michaelle Moore, and Monica Moore, along with numerous extended family members and friends who remember her fondly and continue to celebrate her vibrant spirit.

Wanda’s life was a testament of joy and love. Her presence enriched the lives of many, and her memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
