PAT'S JOURNEY
Sinclair "Pat" Patterson, Jr. was born on November 19, 1941, in Stamford, Connecticut, to Sinclair Patterson, Sr. and Mary Mark. As the second child, he grew up with his siblings, Alvin Anderson, Lucille Mark, and Betty Hubbard, forming a close-knit family.
Pat completed his high school education in East Moline, Illinois, before earning a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Minnesota. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, stationed in Germany, contributing to his deep sense of duty and service.
Pat married the love of his life, Gwendolyn Patterson, on July 29, 1977, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Their marriage was filled with joy, travel, and memorable family gatherings. His grandchildren, Trey, Damond, Kyla, and Justin Jones, affectionately called him "Papi."
Professionally, Pat worked as a railroad conductor for Burlington Northern, a limo driver for Carey Limo, and dedicated time cleaning at Odom Memorial. A devout member of the Odom Memorial COGIC for over 20 years, he served diligently as an usher.
In his leisure, Pat enjoyed watching classic cowboy movies, exploring new eateries, and cruising. Known for his lively humor and storytelling, he cherished time with his best friend, Bobby Tye.
On June 13, 2026, Pat passed away in Aurora, Colorado. He is survived by his beloved wife Gwendolyn, son Johnny Jones II, daughter-in-law Tracy L. Jones, and grandchildren Johnny Jones III, Damoni K. Jones, Kyla K. Jones, and Justin T. Jones, along with extended family and friends including Mia Thomas, Marisela Morales, Bernice Turner, and Orin Turner.
