Shirley Ann Potyondy was Born on June 19, 1962, to Tyree Armstrong and Ruth Rocha (Montoya), Shirley was the sixth of nine children, growing up in a close-knit family that shaped her compassionate spirit.

Shirley’s journey began at Manual High School, where she graduated in 1979. Her passion for helping others led her to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and a notary public. With a determined entrepreneurial spirit, she founded her own business, Silver Dollar Mortgage, where she made a lasting impact in her community.

In her personal life, Shirley navigated the complexities of love with grace. She married Clifton Dorsett on December 12, 1988; however, their paths diverged through divorce. In 1991, she met Jeno Potyondy, and they married on September 22, 1997. Their love flourished until Jeno’s passing in 2019. In 2023, Shirley was blessed to find companionship again with Victor, who brought joy to her life.

Shirley was known for her love of dancing, traveling, and hosting lively gatherings filled with laughter. Her nurturing heart extended to all those around her, and she took pride in caring for her loved ones, always ensuring they felt cherished and supported.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Montoya and Tyree Armstrong, and her beloved husband, Jeno Potyondy. She leaves behind a loving partner, Victor French; her siblings: Patricia Villa, Lawrence Weimer, Tyree Armstrong Jr, Henry Armstrong, Sheila Armstrong, Thomasina Armstrong, Rose Emerson, and Samuel Montoya; along with a host of nieces and nephews who hold her memory close to their hearts.
