Life and Legacy of

Shin Cheyenne Simpson Jr.

The sun rose on Shin Cheyenne Simpson Jr. on March 7, 1987, in Hobbs New Mexico, to his devoted parents Olivia and Shin Simpson Sr. He peacefully passed away on August 03, 2023, at the age of 36, embraced by the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

Shin Jr. spent his early years in Hobbs before relocating to Denver, Colorado, in 2002. During his formative years, he discovered his profound passions for music, dancing, and aiding others. These passions brought him immense joy throughout his life. His contagious energy on the dance floor was a sight to behold, and his love for music served as a powerful mode of self- expression, resonating with all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Known for his selflessness, Shin extended a helping hand to anyone he encountered, often going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of his fellow street brothers and sisters. He possessed a comforting presence and an extraordinary knack for providing support to those in need of a listening ear. With his exceptional sense of humor, he could effortlessly bring laughter to those around him. Most importantly, he embodied a nonjudgmental spirit and a free, kindred soul.

Shin held an unwavering affection for his younger brother, serving as his protector throughout their lives, and he made it known. His love for his children was immeasurable, and his greatest desire was to reconnect with them. He cherished his family and relished moments spent with his cousins. Shin was a pillar of strength, renowned for his unyielding love and boundless compassion.

Shin is survived by his cherished parents, Olivia, and Shin Simpson Sr., who stood by him with endless support and love throughout his entire life. He is also survived by his older brother, Kalvin Simpson, his sister, Scherelle Simpson, his brother, Donnell Simpson, and his little sister Krystal (Modesto) Flores-Molina. Shins legacy lives on through his beloved children, Ceilanna Jerusalum Simpson, Malachi Israel Simpson, and (stepdaughter) Shanya Stokesberry. His nieces, Paige Simpson, and Janie Simpson. His nephews, Lazarus Simpson, Cruz Flores-Molina, Nathaniel Devereaux, Zion Flores Simpson, and Merrick Vaughns. His love and kindness will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

Shin Cheyenne Simpson Jr. was preceded in death by his grandparents. Their spirits will undoubtedly welcome him with open arms into the eternal peace that awaits.

During his time with us, Shin touched the lives of many and his absence will be deeply felt by his extended Simpson family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, compassionate nature, and kind heart will forever reside in our hearts. To know Shin was to love him.

As we gather to commemorate Shins life, let us hold in our hearts the happiness he infused into our lives, the moments we shared, and the enduring legacy of love that he has left behind. Shins spirit wouldve encouraged us to celebrate and rejoice through dance, and embracing an array of music that he held dear.

A gathering to celebrate Shins life has been scheduled for August 18th at Delmar Park. In lieu of floral tributes, the family kindly requests that contributions be directed towards covering the burial expenses.
