It’s early Saturday morning or, it could be any day of the week, Rosetta or Rose as some may call her, begins her day, she gets out of bed starts brewing her coffee, while it’s brewing, she starts preparing herself for field service. She sits down at the kitchen table and says a prayer; she pours herself a cup of coffee as she drinks her coffee she reads the daily text. She starts preparing her field service bag making sure she has her bible and bible literature, ready to listen to those who are hungry for bible truth and with Jehovah’s help provide answers from the bible. She walks out the door to meet her spiritual sisters. How did this begin? On December 14th, 1933, Rosetta was born to Dave and Ethel (York) Campbell in Warren, Arkansas. She was the fifth child of eight children, and they attended church every Sunday. At the age of 16, she moved to Denver, Colorado where she lived with her brother Sammy and his wife. Later in 1958 Rosetta moved to Dixmoor, Illinois where she lived with her sister, Bertha Jackson and brother-in-law James. They were Jehovah’s witnesses who told her about the wonderful promises almighty God mentions in the bible. She really appreciated the resurrection hope when we will see all our loved ones again who have died right here on earth. (Acts 24 ;15)
Rosetta learned how Jesus sacrificed for our sins, was the reason we receive the blessing of a resurrection hope, and living forever here on earth. Soon, Rosetta returned to Denver, Colorado because her sister Beatrice needed her help. She soon found work as a CNA at Saint Anthony’s hospital and went back to school to get her G.E.D. She started telling relatives what she learned from the bible while she was living in Illinois. But they all thought she was crazy, her sister Beatrice who at the time seemed mildly disturbed at what she was saying, questioned how could you believe something like that! But this did not discourage Rosetta, she looked for a kingdom hall to attend and there she learned more about her father Jehovah. She found joy and happiness in serving him. On January 30th, 1963, she dedicated herself in water baptism. In 1996 she told her niece, “I am going to retire and pioneer (full time ministry) and she did, for 22 years. In 2018 her health started to fail. She had to step down from pioneering but continue to serve Jehovah and join in field service activities when she could.
Rosetta spent 62 years dedicated as a servant of Jehovah. She aided and helped individuals and her sister Beatrice (who later came to be one of Jehovah’s witnesses), and her family to learn bible truths. She loved Jehovah God, the ministry, her family, and she loved travelling. Rosetta went to many international conventions and travelled to different countries such as Africa, Germany, and Spain etc. On several occasions she took cruises with her friends and sisters, Beatrice and Verline. Rose joined the LDC in 2009; she was hospitable and always there for those who needed her. She had deep love for all of her family members, especially her son Steven, who lives in Nevada and her daughter, Paulette and grandson, Courtney who took great care of her until her death.
To know Rose was to know that she enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, and walking. She was a fast walker, and the apartment manager would wave at her every time they would see her pass by the office window. She enjoyed watching the broncos play football, playing cards with her friends Betty Beasley, and Ora tea beau and many others. Most of all she really enjoyed talking about Jehovah.
Rosetta is the last matriarch to die of her immediate family generation. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Paulette; son, Steven; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Rose’s family would like to thank all those who gave their.

Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words that anyone could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts,
We thank you so much whatever the part.
