In Loving Memory of Rosalinda Morrison

OBITUARY

Rosalinda “Rose” Morrison

Rosalinda ‘Rose” Morrison was born March 10, 1969 in Leyte, Philippines to her parents, Visitacion McGarity and Jim Thomson.  a military child whose early years were marked by a sense of adventure and diversity. Rose's journey led her to different corners of the world, starting from attending kindergarten at Clark Airforce base in the Philippines. The family later moved to Nebraska, where she spent four memorable years before embarking on a chapter in Okinawa, Japan during her teen years from 1981 to 1985. It was here, at the Kadena Marina Beach, where her profound love for the ocean first blossomed.

Upon returning to the United States, Rose settled in Denver, Colorado. She attended George Washington High School where she excelled both academically and athletically as a track athlete. Her career path led her to LucasHorsfall Accountants & Advisors as the director of Human Resources operations.

Rose's deepest joys revolved around her faith and family. She cherished God and found peace by walking on beach shores or watching breathtaking sunsets over the ocean. A devoted reader and loving family member, Rose's light shone brightest when surrounded by those she held dear.

To her dearest friends Shaunte Brown, Hazel Santos, LaTasha Vincent, Damaris Walker, Rebecca Hilmango - Rose's presence was a gift filled with warmth and laughter that will be deeply missed.

In the wake of her passing, we remember Rose as a dreamer who turned aspirations into reality; a woman of strength and sweetness whose heart overflowed with empathy and love. Her Filipino heritage shaped her into an industrious visionary leader who left an enduring impact on all those she encountered.

Rose departed this life Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in Woodland Hills, CA , she is  survived by her loving husband, Tony Morrison, and their children Anthony Wayne Jr., Christian Alexander, Joshua Adam Morrison, along with their bonus daughter Tamara Morrison-White. Together they formed a close-knit unit founded on faith and unwavering love.

Rest in peace, our dear Rosalinda.
