Ronnette Marie Davis was born on December 9, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska, to her parents, Richard M. Davis, Sr. and Dewene J. Hale Davis Webb. She was the first born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Richard and Steven. As a child, she was quite the prankster to her younger brothers. She loved cooking and always prepared the absolute best family dinners that everyone enjoyed.
Ronnette received her early education in Omaha, Nebraska, by graduating from North High School. She furthered her education by attending Bellevue College in Bellevue, Nebraska, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
On August 23 1971, Ronnette married, Claude Crawford in Omaha, Nebraska. There were no children born to this union during this chapter of her life. She was the proud mother of two children, Courtney (S.B.R.I) and Marquietta. She was a loving and devoted mother, who took great pride in the care and nurture of her family.
By profession, Ronnette was employed by U.S. West Communications as a Manager. She was hard-working, dedicated, and performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. Colleagues remember her taking great pride in helping the young professionals from other states integrate within the company and community. She offered them local insights, connected them with resources and was simply a friend. She had a way of making everyone feel at home.
A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Ronnette was a member of Higher Levelr Church Denver. She joined the church under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Chris Hill. She believed in the power of prayer and having the right relationship with the Lord. She served her church as a member of the Mass Choir, and the Life Explorers Ministry. She loved her church, and the fellowship shared with her church family.
Ronnette was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. She loved singing with Gospel Harmony, dining out, aqua fitness, writing, playing Mahjong and Qigong in her free time. Her closest and oldest friend, Janice Tucker Thompson will miss the many comraderies they shared together and that she was a true and trusted friend. She will be missed for her kindness and willingness to help others. Whether it was a small gesture, or a grand act of support, she gave it from the heart, never expecting a return. Her kindness was a constant reminder of what it means to be a true friend. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this remarkable woman. To know Ronnette was to love her.
