Roderick Fillmore Branch, born on January 7, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, Marguerite and Samuel Branch. He was the 4th child born in the family and was raised with his siblings, Elgin, Darren, and Chevella. As a child, Roderick loved playing sports of all kind and was known as one of the neighborhoods best athletes.
He received his education at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, an experience that contributed to his unique perspective and personal development. He furthered his education by attending Pikes Peak Community College. Those who knew Roderick often recognized his distinctive personality. He valued loyalty and was very close to his friends and family.
Roderick worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator, where he applied his skills and diligence, and later as a Mail Handler for the United States Postal Service. He always performed his duties with a spirit of excellence.
Roderick enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones. Family gatherings were among his favorite pastimes, and he particularly cherished the companionship of his close friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Lee Branch; and brother, Elgin Lee Branch.
He is survived by his mother, Marguerite Branch; his sister, Chevella Branch; and his brother, Darren Branch, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
His memory will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
