Rochelle Greene

Rochelle Greene was born to her parents, Hallie and Foster Dillingham in Santa Monica, California on December 19, 1940. She was the third child born to this family and was raised with her brothers, Walter Powell, Jr. and Darryl Dillingham. Being a California native, Rochelle gained an appreciation and love for the beach.

Following high school, Rochelle met a young man named Ellis Greene in El Paso, Texas. The couple began dating and were later joined in holy matrimony on June 20, 1959. To this union, Christina Anne, Whitney Elette, and Sean Wendell were born.

She later gained an additional source of pride and joy with the addition of her grandchildren, Lonnie Suber, Jr., Janvier Sorapuru, Sean Greene, Julian Sorapuru, Shakoya Greene, Deja Greene, Ebony Greene, Assatta Lancaster and Jayla Greene. To them, she affectionately known as Mamo or Lil Lady.

By profession, Rochelle was a day care teacher. She was also blessed to own her own cleaning business at one point. One of her proudest accomplishments was that she became debutante in the 1950’s prior to getting married.

During her free time, she loved taking care of her horses. This was something that she took pride in. She loved to go shopping and was all about fashion; she had a plethora of jewelry. In addition, she enjoyed listening to music, she admired exquisite art and most importantly enjoyed spending time with family. Those that know her best, describe her as caring and loving. She will truly be missed.

Rochelle passed away into the embrace of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on, February 12, 2023. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Christina Anne, Whitney Elette, and Sean Wendell; grandchildren, Lonnie Suber, Jr., Janvier Sorapuru, Sean Greene, Julian Sorapuru, Shakoya Greene, Deja Greene, Ebony Greene, Assatta Lancaster, and Jayla Greene; great grandchildren, Jason H. Carrizales, Jr., Jaylen A. Carrizales, J’Adrian J. Carrizales, Julian P. Carrizales, Julian Sorapuru, Khalil Greene, Khamari Greene, Ka’Mylin Greene, Cambree Greene, Zaniah Parris, Jayden Parris, Jelani Lancaster and Lonnie Suber III.
