Prince Edward “Ed” Banks, Jr. was born on June 22, 1951, in Danville, Illinois, to Prince Banks and the former DeVera Banks.
Ed was a lifelong learner who enjoyed playing chess, reading, and sharing knowledge with others. He attended East High School in Denver and later earned his associate degree from the Community College of Denver.
He cherished spending time with his family, engaging in informative and thoughtful conversations. In his later years, he became part of a residential community where he enjoyed outings, photography, and group sessions.
Ed practiced Catholicism before his personal conversion to Jesus Christ, led by Bishop Theodis Moore and Pastor Tastonga Moore of Grace and Truth Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Denver, Colorado.
Prince Edward “Ed” Banks, Jr., age 74, passed away on March 24, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Prince Banks and DeVera Short; his stepfather, Miller Sewing; and his nephew, Tyron Banks.
He is survived by his sisters, Rochelle Banks, Darlene Banks, and Renee Conner; his nieces and nephews; extended family; his caregivers and friends.
