Paul Hill

November 28, 1928 — June 5, 2021

Paul Edward Hill, son of the late John and Juanita Hill was born on November 28, 1928, in Dallas, TX.  He completed his primary and secondary education and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  After receiving his degree, he served in the United States Air Force from June 1951 until June 1955. He then began his career as an accountant at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado. He continued his work in finance until retiring in 1983.

Paul met and married the love of his life, Barbara Belle while employed at Lowry Air Force Base.  During their union, he enjoyed an exciting life with Barbara traveling and doing the things they loved.  Barbara the love of his life, preceded him in death in 1977; also preceding him in death one brother-Raymond A. Hill.

Paul had a passion for jazz, playing the guitar, golf, computer, and sudoku.  The Peoples Presbyterian Church is where he worshiped for many years as a faithful Christian.  He was a gentle and quite man. whom would always say, “GOD is good all the time.”

In 2019, Paul knew his health was failing and wanted to be surrounded by his family.  Being a faithful Christian, he planned for his home going thereby moving to Riverdale, Illinois. Here, would live with his niece Alisia and her family.  On June 5, 2021 at the age 92, Paul Edward Hill was called home to be with the Lord and reunited eternally with Barbara.

Paul loved and leaves to cherish his memory:  one brother, Howard S. Hill (Carol) of Chicago, IL: nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and host of cousins and friends.

On Wednesday, June 30, 2021 Paul will be laid to rest, from his labor at 12:00 noon at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236.  Relatives and friends are welcome as we lay our dear uncle to rest.

Uncle Paul” ——-The Lord gave us a wonderful “Uncle” though miles separated us and visits were more by phone and computer. Of course, with that frequent “Wait a minute, let me turn up my hearing aid”!  You will be missed.

We will remember our time shard with an uncle who was compassionate, wise and always accommodating when we did visit.  We will miss your “Chuckle” laugh and smile and frequent “God is Good”.  We thank God for our time shared.  We love you and will miss you.  We share our condolences with all of the family and friends at this time.  In Christ and love. Joy Givens Gray (niece) (Gary) of Fort Worth, Texas, Lori Givens Switzer (niece) (Marvin) of Indio, California, Rory H. Givens (Nephew)(Laurie); Appleton, Wisconsin. Spencer Givens (Nephew) (Debbie); Denver, Colorado. God Bless and Keep you “Uncle Paul”.
