Nancy Loretta Armstrong was born to her parents, Flora Mae Simmons and Albert Wilson on December 4, 1954 in Nashville, Arkansas. She was raised with her siblings, Johnny Wilson, David Simmons, Bobby Simmons, Billy Simmons, Jerry Simmons, Curlie Corre, Esther Brunson, Dorothy Brunson, and Elise Simmons

Loretta’s career in the healthcare industry was defined by her passion for assisting the elderly. She gravitated towards this work, providing care and support to those in need. Her nurturing nature and genuine desire to help others brought comfort and solace to countless individuals.

Raised in Nashville, Arkansas, Nancy had a humble upbringing. As a child, she and her family worked diligently in the fields harvesting crops. This experience instilled important values of hard work and perseverance that would guide her throughout her life.

She attended Childress High School in Nashville, Arkansas, where she gained knowledge and formed lifelong friendships. Loretta cherished her educational opportunities as they paved the way for her future endeavors.

Loretta's family and friends will forever remember her joyful and loving personality. She was not only a dedicated caregiver but also a jokester who effortlessly brought smiles to everyone around her. Her fun-loving nature made her a beloved figure among family members, friends, and colleagues alike.

In her free time, Loretta enjoyed singing, spending quality time with her family, and connecting with loved ones over phone calls. These activities filled her heart with joy and strengthened the bonds she held dear.

Among Loretta's proudest accomplishments were raising five wonderful children and acting as a mentor to nieces and nephews. She provided unwavering support and guidance throughout their lives, imparting wisdom that will continue to shape their futures. Loretta was an active member of Golf Chapel Church in McCaskill, Arkansas where she wore multiple hats including singing in the church choir.

Throughout her life, Loretta touched countless lives with her compassion and love. Her legacy as a dedicated caregiver and a beloved family member and friend will be forever cherished. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she made a profound impact on those around her.


Loretta Armstrong is survived by her loving husband, Lee Vester Armstrong. Together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Nancy will be deeply missed by her children: Anthony “Cortez” (Arquetta) Armstrong, Darwond (Jodi) Armstrong, Vanessa (Spencer) Armstrong, Gary (Muriya) Armstrong, and Rho Armstrong. Her legacy lives on through her 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her caring siblings: Johnny Wilson, David Simmons, Billy Simmons, and Curlie Correa, and Dorothy Brunson; siblings in love, Janice Nutt, Alfred Brunson and Bill Brunson. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
