Michael Ray Hampton was born on April 9, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to Fannie and Manard Hampton. He was raised with his siblings, Gary, Deborah and Gail.
From an early age, Michael displayed a curious nature that led him to explore the world around him. Although he occasionally learned the hard way through injuries sustained from his adventures, this curiosity shaped him into a resilient individual who embraced life's challenges head-on. It is worth noting that he had an amusing fear of the family cat when he was very young – a testament to his endearing personality.
Michael excelled academically and graduated from East High School in Denver, Colorado. While his education provided him with a solid foundation, it was his commitment to helping others that truly defined his proudest accomplishments. Michael always extended a helping hand whenever friends and neighbors were in need. He was selfless and had a lasting impact on their lives.
Throughout his life, Michael pursued various careers and touched the lives of those he encountered. He worked as an usher, cook, ticket agent and security guard for places such as the McNichols Sports Arena, Double Tree Hotel, Denver Stock Show, as well as several restaurants. His dedication and commitment to his work made him highly regarded by his colleagues and patrons alike.
Michael was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church since he was seven years old. He actively participated in church activities and took great pride in singing with the youth choir. His dedication to worship was evident in his daily actions as he lived out the values instilled in him from a young age.
In addition to his profession and spiritual devotion, Michael enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed watching sports events and listening to music. He had a passion for cooking which brought people together and allowed him to try new recipes with his family. Michael also adored his relationship with Stephen and Randy, they shared countless memorable experiences together.
Michael Ray Hampton a kind and Godly man, passed away on October 29, 2023, in Denver, Colorado.
Michael's passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of his surviving family and friends - mother, Fannie Hampton; father, Manard Hampton; step-mother, Glady's Hampton; brother, Gary Hampton; sister, Gail Hampton; niece and nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Michael Ray Hampton touched the lives of many through his kindheartedness, unwavering faith, and love for others. His memory will forever serve as an inspiration to us all. May he rest in eternal peace.
