Hello Family and friends,
It is with sadness of heart that I and my brother post this Memorial bulletin of Mr. Marshall E. Bell whom the Lord took home on March 9th, 2025.
Marshall Edward Bell was born on November 10, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to his parents, Willie Gertrude Ruth Keller and Wade A. Bell. He was raised with his brothers, Bobby, David, Wade III, Jonathan “Jojo”, Steven Bell and John Blaylock
Marshall’s family relocated to Denver, Colorado where he received his formal education through the Denver Public School system. He attended Manuel High School where he played football and basketball her later graduated in 1967. He furthered his education by attending Bishop College in Dallas, Texas where he received his Bachelor of Arts. While attending Bishop College, Marshall became the Lead Vocalist of the choir and graduated with honors.
He then met Brenda J. Lefall and they were married in 1970. This marriage was later dissolved in 1977. In 1978 he met a young lady named Patricia Ross and they were joined in holy matrimony. They later went their separate ways in 1984. Several years later, he met a lady named Charlotte Lewis while living in California and they were married until 1984.
By profession, Marshall worked as a Sales Manager for Southwestern Life Insurance Company. Those who worked with Marshall describe him as a leader and one with a magnetic personality. He always performed his duties with a spirit of excellence.
Marshall was a man of faith who accepted Christ into his life at a young age. While living in Texas, he was a devout member of South Dallas Baptist Church. In his ministry with this church he served as a lead and background vocalist.
In his free time, Marshall enjoyed playing chess, backgammon, card games; and most of all spending time with his family. He gained an additional source of pride and joy with the birth of his grandchildren, Matthew D. Landrum, Cetaria C. Wilkerson, David A. Bell, Jr., Kayla Bell, Joshua Bell and great grandchild, Kingston L. Wilkerson.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his sons, Mark D. Bell and David M. Bell; brothers, Bobby Taylor, David "Bey Bey" Duane Bell, Wade Bell III, Jonathan “Jojo” Bell, Steven Bell and John Blaylock; aunts, Faye Bell and Jacqueline “Jackie” Bell.
In the memory of life, reflection and “Legacy Journal” of Mr. Marshall E. Bell.

Hello Bell Family and wonderful friends of Mr. Marshall E. Bell.
Myself and my brother David once again thank our Mothers; sister Mrs. Brenda J. McGibboney of North Carolina, Ms. Sister Patricia of Tennessee with their undying love, many prayers, wisdom, support, sincerity and encouragement to do the Lord’s will and to “Get the job done” by doing the right thing on this memorial of our “Pop.
In every aspect of the final arrangements, the end result was the Will of God and with all of the good suggestions of my Uncles and family this memorial was the Master’s plan all along who sits on His Throne in Glory that was designated by our Sovereign Lord from the beginning that this memorial cremation must and was Fulfilled by His Heavenly design. Nothing gets past Him without His permission or His Purpose that He willfully designed by His grace and plan.
I do not have to quote scripture on that and I know Family that this was painful for Everybody and My brother David and I appreciate and love you all.
Always Glory to God!
Much thanks to my “Bigg Unc.” Mr. Wade Bell III and my Uncle Steven “Stevie” for their suggestions in supporting these difficult decisions that we had to perform justly and honorably.
My mom said in reflection that “ God was Sooooooo Gooooood to Marshall”.
My Bloved’s.
As my brother and I close this memorial salutation of Marshall’s earthly book of Our departed Dad’s life, I ask for all of Dad’s “Loved One’s”, family and friends to remember the BEST of Marshall E. Bell and the wonderful times that he brought and shared with you.
In our reflections and memories of Marshall…my “peoples” only God knows the truth and of the relationships that began to be watered and fostered with each and everyone of you with our “Pop”.
Now family, this departing of Marshall is a testimony of your strength, your character and you honor as we look and walk down memory lane like Ms. Minnie Ripperton used to sing about. Myself and David my brother say “Thank you” from the bottom of our hearts.
This is “Good Love” like Anita Baker sung way back in the “Da Day” and “How can I mend a broken heart” by Rev. Al Green (Only God can turn from R&B singing to Gospel) So come on y’all, don’t act like y’all don’t know what I am talking about lol. But “if you don’t know….now you know!” Smile.
However getting through this painful but dutiful ordeal I did listen to three of my favorite Gospel Singers….which are “Only You are Holy” by Donnie McClurkin, “Always” by Kirk Franklin and his Choir live in Houston 2009 and “Manifest” 2003 by Sister Brenda Whitfield Ellis and sung with Potter’s House Mass Choir in December 2015.
I encourage each and every one of you who are still in some pain to listen to these marvelous singers given to us help ease the mournful struggle in pain of seeing a family member “move on” Sadness and pain are “kindred cousins and kin folk” but as believe as a family and friends of Mr. Maeshall E. Bell that was as his “Loved Ones”, Family and our “peoples” and with the help of the Lord that we shall triumph and move ever forward in God’s provision and blessings.
Finally as Apostle Paul says in Philippians 4:8 “and now, dear brother and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable. and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable Think about things that are excellent and worth of praise”.
Mark Bell and David Bell the sons of the Late Marshall E. Bell thans the Bell Family and all of Dad’s Loved Ones and friends on his final announcement and Finalization of Dad’s body to be consecrated dedicated and cremated to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the “Prince of Peace” and the “Kings of all Kings” and “Alpha and Omega” and the Author and Finisher” of our faith.
