LIFE’S JOURNEY
Linda Marie Brown - Gaskin
Linda Marie Brown-Gaskin was born on March 25, 1963 in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Isaac Eugene Brown, and Annette Zenobia Brown. She was the 5th child in a large loving family. Brother Ralph Young, sisters Deborah Young, Ellen Brown and Renee Brown. As a child she was always willing to help, absolutely friendly and very much adored by everyone, a joy to be around, she was truly the life of the party. She loved to dress up, and kept her hair maintained to the latest styles. This attribute she carried on into adulthood.
Linda received her formal education by graduating from Denver South High School Class of 1981 with honors. Consistently displaying keen insight, discipline, and a strong drive to succeed.
After a long loving relationship on June 24, 1993, Linda married Kenneth Earl Gaskin Jr, in Las Vegas, Nevada at the “Little White Chapel”. They met at the Community House on 26th and Fairfax, it was love at first sight. To this union two kids were born Kenny Monte’ Gaskin, and David Donte’ Gaskin. Together they built a beautiful family and shared great memories; always a fun time and parties on 29th and Elm. Their house was the place to meet on the weekends, cook up good food and just have a good time creating a home filled with warmth, fun and unconditional love. Linda spent a considerable amount of time supporting the boys' sports activities; she volunteered as a team mom for the “Park Hill Pirates” football team, attended the practices and all the games with friends, family and kids.
She was a member of St. Stephens Baptist Church and also attended Solomon Temple Baptist Church with her close relative CC and Tony Bershett.
Linda’s closest friends Esther Roger, and Karen Richie will forever cherish her radiant smile and charming personality.
Son David and Loyal Companion Tamara Sedillo have one daughter Rosemary who Linda adored; and a new baby boy soon to come November 5, 2026. Rosemary affectionately called her “Grandma”. Memories Rosemary will share with her baby brother; is going to visit Grandma at the nursing home and bring her food, and taking her out of the nursing home with Uncle Freddie to get food. Also the smiles Grandma shared when they would bring her pictures of Rosemary which she loved so much and brought her lots of happiness.
