Kevin Moore

Kevin Edward Moore was born to James and Michele Moore (Sims) on November 22, 1977, in Hazel Crest, IL. He was one of five children born to this union. He had two brothers, Michael and James along with two sisters, Stacey and Yvette.

As a child he enjoyed writing music and drawing. He was one to always try out new recipes for his family as cooking was something he enjoyed at a young age.

He was educated through in Harvey, IL where he attended Thornton High School. Kevin pursued further education in Chicago, IL where he received his Associates in Applied Science in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts.

Kevin was married to the love of his life, LeKeshia Moore (Ballard) on February 17th,2011 in Harvey, IL. He and his wife spent endless time traveling and enjoying each other’s presence and love.

Kevin is described as having charm and grace that lit up the room when he was in it. He was a sous chef at the Sheraton in DTC. He made work feel like a party that everyone enjoyed.

Kevin is preceded in death by his father, James and his sister, Stacey.

Kevin took his last breath on this side of eternity on October 22, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Lekeshia Moore; mother, Michele; brothers, Michael and James; sister; Yvette, nieces,  Crystal and Sylver Toussiant; nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and family. Kevin will be greatly missed.
