Jermaine Abrams

August 23, 1985 — March 20, 2023

Denver, CO

Jermaine DeShawn Abrams was born to his parents, Sandra Abrams and Joe Wells on August 23, 1985, in Denver, Colorado. He was raised with his siblings, Joseph, Crystal, Cynthia, Rosa and Jasmine.

As a child Jermaine enjoyed hanging out with his siblings and getting into trouble. At one point he and his brothers, Joseph and Brett were playing football in the house and Jermaine knocked the air out of his little brother. It was all love in the end, but they were quite rough with each other.

Jermaine was educated through Denver Public Schools where he attended and graduated from Manuel High School. Following high school, Jermaine met a lovely young lady named Julia Abrams. The couple were joined in holy matrimony on September 7, 2014 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Lawndale, North Carolina by Pastor Esther Littlejohn. Julia recalls how much she enjoyed Jermaine’s big smile, and how he made her feel so special. To this union, Jermari and Jermaria were born.

Jermaine had a special relationship with his children. He often teased them when appropriate but was always there when they needed him. He gained an additional source of pride and joy with the addition of his grandchild, Kalani Abrams.

Jermaine was a hardworking man who performed all his duties with a spirit of excellence.

In his free time, Jermaine enjoyed playing call of duty, painting his truck, bowling, playing games on his phone, hanging out with his friends, Lamont, Victor, Cavaughn, Randy, Randall Lee, Brandon Ross, Dominic Stroud, Antoine Smith, Richard Smith, Mercury Springs, and Apollo Springs; and most importantly spending time with his family.

Those that know Jermaine best describe him as goofy, loving, kind and creative. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He never met a stranger and found ways to connect with everyone. He had a special relationship with his aunt, Tammy Abrams. He will truly be missed.

Jermaine passed away on March 20, 2023. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife; Julia Abrams of 12 years; his children, Jermaine DeShawn Abrams, jr., Jermontay Abrams, Jermarjay Abrams, Jamiya Abrams, Jermari Montay Abrams, Jermaria Dezoria Abrams, Erica Aliyah Renee Abrams, Jemeire Abrams, Jahnayal Abrams; bonus children, Prentice Dawkins, Jahray James, Antwalayza Dawkins, Mjhaue Dawkins, Jackie Uwimana; grandchild, Kalani Abrams; his mother, Sandra Abrams; his father, Joe Wells; brothers, Joseph Abrams and Brett Abrams; sisters, Cynthia Abrams, Rosa Abrams, Crystal Abrams and Jasmine Patterson and his aunt, Tammy Abrams who he had a special bond with.
