Obituary

Jean Renee Buggs

June 2, 1956 - July 7, 2026

Born in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado, Jean Renee Buggs graced the world with her presence on June 2, 1956. As the cherished daughter of Helen Ruth Garrett (Anderson) and Roosevelt LeGrone, and the fourth of five siblings, she was nurtured within a loving family. Her early education in Denver Public Schools concluded at Manual High School, after which she pursued a fulfilling career as a nursing aide with Bayada Home Care, exemplifying compassion and dedication that endeared her to both her clients and colleagues.

Jean's life was a celebration in itself. Known affectionately as the life of the party, she possessed a zest for living that was infectious to those around her. From an early age, her love for dancing shone through, securing her a victory in her school's talent show when she was just in second grade. Jean relished in family gatherings, where laughter was abundant, and her culinary delights were eagerly anticipated, especially during her beloved Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations.

Her family was her greatest pride. She adored her children—her son Andre Buggs, who precedes her in death, and her daughter, Aubriel “Weeda” McAllister. Together, they shared cherished moments watching the Denver Broncos and Nuggets, cooking, and delighting in each other's company. Jean leaves behind a legacy of love with her daughter Aubriel, granddaughters LaQuaya and Dre’Jhanae Buggs, and her three great-grandchildren.

Jean joins loved ones who have passed before, including her parents and her son Andre. Her spirit is carried forward by surviving family: brothers Alonzo “Butch” Buggs (Vanessa) and Eugene “Dooney” Jackson Jr. (Cynthia), sisters Ruth York and Winnie “Marie” Glasper. She also leaves behind life-long friends Carla Sykes, Raychelle Cook, and Johnathan Cox, alongside countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Her departure leaves a void that echoes with the vibrant joy she brought to every life she touched. May she rest in peace, her spirit eternally dancing among the stars.
