LIFE'S JOURNEY

Janice Lynn Comes

Janice Lynn Comes was born on April 26, 1972, in the heart of Denver, Colorado to her parents, Arthur and Margie Emerson. She carved her path through life with unwavering courage and an infectious sense of humor that endeared her to all who had the privilege to know her.

She received her primary and secondary education through the Denver Public School system, laying the foundation for a life devoted to adventure and discovery. Janice possessed a profound love for outdoor pursuits, constantly seeking thrills, which was reflected in her passion for amusement parks and roller coasters—a testament to her fearless spirit. At home, she found joy in the little things: solving puzzles, immersing herself in arts and crafts, and enjoying movie nights filled with laughter, particularly reveling in classic comedies paired with the sweet sounds of old-school R&B.

Janice’s professional journey as an equipment operator spanned various warehouses throughout the Denver area. She approached her responsibilities with a spirit of excellence that was evident to her colleagues and supervisors alike. Her indomitable work ethic and commitment to her craft left an indelible mark on those she worked alongside

Janice's personality was a tapestry woven with threads of authenticity; she spoke her mind and faced life's challenges head-on, never backing down from obstacles that came her way. Those who crossed her path recognized her as a true go-getter, whose life was a celebration of spontaneity and strength. Her great sense of humor illuminated even the darkest days, and it is these memories that will linger on in the hearts of her loved ones.

Janice took great delight in her cherished pet dog, "Little Larry," whose companionship was a source of comfort and joy in her life. Her steadfast love for her family, coupled with her adventurous spirit, carved bright trails that will guide them forward. While Margie Comes, her mother, and Arthur Emerson, her father, now rest in peace, Janice’s legacy of strength, humor, and love will continue to resonate

Janice succumbed after a valiant battle with cancer on August 12, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family.

A beloved mother, Janice is survived by her sons, Randolph (Randy) Beason, Roy Q. Beason, IV, and Santiago Cunningham, her daughter, Isis Hunt (her father, Tony Hunt) and her cherished sister, Jasmine Walker and fher devoted lifetime friend Roy Q. Beason, III and a host of other relatives and friends.
