Douglas Lottie
We respectfully bid farewell to Douglas Lottie, who passed away on May 8th, 2023, in his hometown of Denver, Colorado. Douglas was born in the same city on December 18th, 1949, to Arthur Lottie, Sr. and Margie Ann Lottie.
Douglas attended Denver Public Schools and graduated from Manual High School. He went on to have an illustrious career at the City and County of Denver, working for 37 years as a Supervisor before retiring. His commitment to excellence in his duties was unwavering.
Aside from work, Douglas had a sharp dress sense and was very smart and loving according to friends and family. His favorite pastime was watching sports and movies on TV while enjoying cigars. He watched Columbo every single night.
Douglas’s proudest accomplishment came when he invented a card game called "Race Cards" in 1969. It was copyrighted in 1999. This achievement speaks to his creativity, intelligence and innovation.
Douglas has left indelible memories behind with all who knew him. His family mourn their loss but find comfort knowing he lived an incredible life that touched so many hearts. May we all be inspired by the legacy he leaves behind
Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, Margie and Arthur Lottie, Sr.; his sisters, Delores Dukes and Lanetta Lottie.
Douglas is survived by his children: Douglas Moore (Son) Count Lottie (Son); Grandchildren: Destiny, Naomi, Jaiden, Deshawn, Zaida, Xyree, Aniah, Corvon, Zaeveon and Counteese; Great-Grandchildren; Arthur Lottie (Brother), Betty Lottie (Sister), Ned Lottie (Brother), Patricia Lotte (Sister) and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.-
