Donna Mae Bouknight December 8, 1934 – August 19, 2026
A Life of Love, Faith, Family, and Wisdom
Donna Mae Bouknight, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 91.
Born on December 8, 1934, in Oakley, Kansas, to Lawrence and Leona Jones, Donna was raised in a large family where she embraced the enduring values of love, faith, and compassion.
She was the devoted wife of Chief Master Sergeant Samuel C. Bouknight. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising six children: Samuel, the late Sharon, Thomas, Stephanie, Shelton, and Sedrick. Donna's greatest joy was her expanding family, including grandchildren Stacey, Carlton Green, Senitra, Thomas Jr., Samuel, Shavon, Brittany, Sharoia, Jovon, Chaumont, Shayla, Sedrick Jr., and Jordan, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Donna cherished her close-knit family of siblings: Billie, Ernestine, Darlene, Phyllis, Jewell, Margret Ann, Valarie, Cindy, Gene, Larry, Jesse, and Terry. Her faith, grounded in Catholicism and later non-denominational Christianity, was the cornerstone of her life. She attended Heritage Christian Center, living her faith through kindness and love for others.
Professionally, Donna served as a dental hygienist, reflecting her dedication to caring for others. She was an enthusiastic camper, traveler, music lover, and crafter. Her cooking—much more than simply food—brought joy and unity to all who gathered around her table.
Donna’s wisdom and her ability to nurture, encourage, and share stories created a lasting legacy across generations. Her love and lessons shaped all who knew her.
She rests peacefully beside her husband, Samuel, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and faith that will continue to grow in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, siblings, and all who knew her.
Rest well, beautiful Nana. Your journey is complete, but your love and wisdom live on. Forever cherished, forever remembered, forever our Nana.
