Donald James Hawkins, affectionately known as "Hawk," was born to David and Victoria Hawkins in Beaumont, Texas, on May 7, 1955. Donald departed this life on May 17, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Victoria Hawkins, and his eldest brother, Alvin Hawkins, all of Beaumont, Texas.

Donald attended Beaumont High School, home of the Royal Purples, and was a member of the graduating Class of 1975. During his school years, he proudly played football.

Donald leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 32 years, Freda Lysaker Hawkins; his daughter, Candy Hawkins; and his bonus children, Percy Boatner, Christie Boatner, Crystal Jajdelski, and eight grandchildren, all of Denver, Colorado.

He is also survived by his brothers, David Hawkins (Lorena) and Paul Hawkins Sr. (Nita), both of Beaumont, Texas; his sister, Gayle Tapps (Raymond) of Cypress, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Donald worked for Boeing in his earlier years and later spent the remainder of his career was spent with ACME Distribution Trucking, from which he later retired.
