It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of David Robert Chapman, age 41, of Aurora, Colorado, on October 19, 2025.

David will be remembered by his parents Deborah Chapman and Robert Chapman (Mary), by sisters Erinn Chapman and Andrea Carlson (Lew), by his nieces and nephews Noah True, Ava True, Logan Carlson, and Riley Carlson, and by his partner Danielle Rodriguez.

Those who knew Dave will remember his infectious smile, his deep love for music – especially the Grateful Dead – and his unwavering devotion to the Detroit Lions. Whether he was watching the game, spending time with friends, or relaxing with his adored dog Oliver, Dave found joy in the simple moments. He loved being outdoors, camping, rock climbing, and later in life, he cherished quiet nights at home watching movies.

David was a bright light who brought warmth, laughter, and love to everyone around him. His kindness and genuine spirit touched the lives of so many, and he will be missed to depths unfathomable by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Grand Haven, Michigan with details to follow.
