Charles T. Griffin was born in Colorado to his parents, Erma Jean White and Booker T. Griffin on May 7, 1963. He was the youngest of four, and matriculated through Denver Public Schools. Charles was a hard working man who always performed his duties with a spirit of excellence. Following his formal education, he helped move people and their households. Charles thought of himself as a relocation engineer which allowed him to explore Colorado. He worked for several different moving companies including; United and Mayflower.
To know Charles was to love him, he supported his family, especially his mother. He was a grill master. Always making the best barbecue that people would come for near and far. He grew up working on cars, and purchased a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo SS that his family enjoyed for about 15 years. His favorite pastimes include playing dominoes with his friends and son, Darness and gathering with his family.
Charles was blessed to meet a lovely lady by the name of Cathleen Morris, they spent 47 years together, including 7 years of marriage.
Charles spent the last 6 years fighting cancer and unfortunately suffered the loss of two children during that time. Charles was a man of faith that knew his help came from the Lord. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Booker T. Griffin; children, Tyrin Griffin and Joseph Griffin; sister, Terri Lee White and brother, Ronnie Griffin. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cathleen Morris-Griffin; children, Darness (Sher’ee) Griffin and Careva (Christopher) Griffin- Barney; siblings, David White and Deacon Benita (Minister Rodney) Jackson; half siblings, Karla Turner, Carolyn Griffin, Sharon Griffin and Jewel Griffin; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
