Life of Cedric Earl Williams

Cedric Earl Williams was born on June 7, 1964, in Denver, Colorado, to Ronnie Earl and Beverly Jean Williams. He was the second son born to this union and was raised alongside his siblings, Eugene, Gaye, and Ronnie Williams. Cedric received his education through the Denver Public Schools system.

Cedric had a passion for cooking and built a career as a chef in the food service industry. His love for preparing meals brought joy to many and reflected his generous and caring spirit.

Along life’s journey, Cedric welcomed his first daughter, LaShanda West. Years later, he was blessed with a son, Jabril Banks, and he's baby girl Sha’rae Banks, with his high school sweetheart, Valerie Banks. As time went on, Cedric married Roszetta Greer and was blessed with 5 bonus children. He had a special bond with the youngest daughter Quetta Greer (Tweety).Although the marriage later ended, the love he shared with his extended family remained.

Cedric was a devoted member of Spottswood AME Zion Church, where he faithfully served as an usher. To know Cedric was to love him. He was known for his impeccable style and often declared himself the “best-dressed” of the Williams boys. He took great pride in his appearance and enjoyed collecting shoes, ties, cologne, and finely tailored suits.

Cedric loved music, spending quality time with family, and especially cherished moments with his beloved mother. He also enjoyed the companionship of his lifelong friends, Quinton, Huckabee, Less Walker, and Victor Lane. Those who knew Cedric will remember his genuine heart, infectious smile, and the way he made everyone feel loved. He never ended a phone conversation without saying, “I love you.”

Cedric leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother, Beverly Williams; his children, LaShanda West, Jabril Banks, and Sha’rae Banks; his brother, Ronnie Williams; his sisters, Gaye Williams, Ronnetta Grove, and Tyawne Williams; and his seven beloved handsome grandsons, Le’Brell West, Elijah and Jeremiah West-Duah, JaSah, Christopher Khi, Zayden, and Zechariah Banks-Napue, all of whom he loved dearly and was immensely proud of. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Cedric’s legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family and friends will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
