Bernadette Farrow

April 22, 1956 — November 30, 2025

With deep love and profound sadness, the Farrow family announces the passing of Bernadette Gina Farrow, a devoted mother, grandmother, scholar, and cherished sister in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She departed this life on November 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, resilience, and grace.

Bernadette was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 22, 1956 — Earth Day — to Annie Cacioppo DiMaggio and Louis Green. She was lovingly adopted at age 3 by Viola Reed and Gilder Farrow and raised in the close-knit Hollygrove community of uptown New Orleans.

A gifted student, Bernadette attended Paul Lawrence Dunbar Elementary School and Joseph S. Clark High School. Her academic brilliance led her to enter Dillard University at only 16 years old. She later earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado Denver and continued her education at Regis University, reflecting her lifelong commitment to learning and growth.

During her college years, Bernadette became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Delta sisterhood meant the world to her, and her line sisters remained among her closest and most cherished lifelong relationships.

In the 1970s, Bernadette married Ronald Noble and lovingly embraced the role of stepmother to his children.

In 1989, she welcomed her only biological child, Domonique Talton, who remained the center of her heart. As a mother and grandmother, Bernadette was nurturing, wise, and deeply devoted, sharing a particularly special bond with her granddaughter Gabrielle.

Bernadette devoted over 30 years of service to Orleans Parish Schools, retiring after a remarkable career. After relocating to Denver, she continued her passion for education by working in Aurora Public Schools and Denver Public Schools, always inspiring and supporting her students.

In 2005, following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Bernadette and her family were lovingly supported by her dear friend Beverly Bell-McGregor, who opened her home and helped raise funds to ease their transition to Denver. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Beverly and the entire Bell/Pearsall family for their generosity and unwavering support during that time.

Denver became a place Bernadette cherished deeply. She loved the peacefulness of Colorado, the fresh air, and especially the beautiful mountain views. A true lover of nature — fittingly born on Earth Day — she found peace in plants, greenery, and time spent outdoors.

After retiring, Bernadette spent a few meaningful years working at Day One Learning Center, where she truly loved the children she cared for.

Bernadette had a beautiful habit of calling just to hear the voices of the people she loved or to say, “Thank you for being a blessing in my life.” Her gratitude was genuine, and her heart was always full.
