Ayn Janine Smith was born on July 10, 1967, in Pennsylvania to Thomas Smith Sr and Lorraine Mabazza. She’s the 2nd child born in the family and was raised with her siblings, Thomas Smith Jr., Lisa Anderson. As a child, Ayn had a passion for art, crafts and music.

Her educational journey took her to Skyline High School in Longmont, where she graduated in 1985. She went on to further her studies, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1992. Her artistic talents were evident in her hobbies, where she expressed creativity through music, playing guitar, and sewing.

Professionally, Ayn Janine dedicated herself to the banking and hospitality sectors, she worked in positions at Mountain States Bank, Bank of Boulder, Bonnie Brae Tavern, and Union Station. She earned her respect from colleagues and clients alike.

Ayn Janine passed away on December 24, 2025. She is survived by her loving family, parents Lorraine and Mariano Mabazza, sisters Bailey Rae Mabazza and Lisa Anderson and brother-in-law Pete Anderson. Her family extends to her niece, Pasha and her nephew, Alexander, her east coast aunts, uncles, and cousins, - The Campbells, along with neighbors and friends, who cherished the moments spent with her.

Ayn Janine’s legacy will live on through the memories she created and the lives she touched.
