Alice Maxine
Bronson
Oct 12, 1930 — Aug 7, 2026
Aurora
Alice Maxine Bronson, born October 12, 1930, in the welcoming embrace of Waldo, Kansas, graced our world as the third child of John and Hazel Bronson. She shared a lively childhood with her sisters—Doris, Eloise, Shirley, Carol, Audine, Patricia, Mary, and Joy—cherishing playful days on their family farm.
Her academic journey took her through Waldo High School and extended into Salina, Kansas, where she pursued higher education for two years. In 1952, love blossomed as she wed Arlen Ray Baskerville, and together they raised three children: Michael, David, and Valerie.
As a devoted grandmother, affectionately called "Grams," she adored her grandchildren—Denise, Val Jr., Christina, Vakeia, and Isaac. Memories abound of joyful outings, such as taking Denise and cousin Natasha to Casa Bonita, and the cherished mornings filled with the aroma of bacon and eggs prepared with love.
A talented Computer Programmer at Porter Hospital, Maxine found satisfaction in her work, often dedicating extra hours to her craft. Her leisure was richly filled with the company of friends and family and evenings entranced by the Jewelry Channel. Her closest companions, Janice Ramero and Gisela Billmayer, remember her for her gracious heart and generous spirit.
On August 7, 2026, Alice Maxine Bronson peacefully returned home. Her legacy continues through her daughter, Valerie (Marvin), and her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her sister Audine Williams and many others hold her memory dear.
In the words of her daughter Valerie, Maxine’s unwavering faith shone brightly throughout her life. Even in her final moments, her whispered prayers reflected a lifetime's devotion to God. Her spirit endures, a beacon of love and faith for all she touched.
