Crowning Ceremony

A funeral is a time of mourning, when communities gather to support one another through the pain of a loss. But it can also be a time of celebration, a homegoing where a departed loved one is raised in glory and friends and family members gather to tell the story of their life.

Our signature services help create a comforting and welcoming space for grief, where joy and sorrow can be expressed in equal measure.

Pageantry and Crowning Ceremony

The crowning ceremony is another way that a Christian life well-lived is celebrated at Pipkin Braswell. It’s a symbolic reference to biblical passages in Revelation and 2 Timothy, which speak of being crowned in Heaven after a lifetime of keeping the faith.

This ceremony is optional but can be included with any funeral arranged by Pipkin Braswell. Some families incorporate the crowning ceremony in their loved one’s service for its religious significance. Others choose it as a way to honor their heritage and traditions within the community.

Everyone Deserves to Have Their Story Told

We offer a variety of other services to help personalize your loved one’s celebration of life.

These include:

  • Themed staging and décor reflecting the deceased’s interests, hobbies, and passions
  • A personalized funeral program and a video tribute of their life
  • Professional pallbearers in matching tuxedos color-coordinated to the service
  • Pageantry service, including the crowning ceremony and funeral procession

Your loved one is immeasurably precious, and their life deserves to be memorialized and honored in a way that fits their unique personality. We will work with you to ensure every aspect of the service is just right, then handle the details so your family can focus on supporting one another in this time of loss.
