Marlow Jenkins-Martin

May 4, 1987 — February 15, 2015

Marlow Jenkins-Martin was born in May 4, 1987, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Samuel Martin and Margaret Jenkins. He was the second child born in the family. As a child, Marlow enjoyed fishing, playing with his siblings, cousins and friends. He was creative and often made games out of sticks and rocks. He also loved to eat. A fond childhood memory was that of Marlow having a fit if his bread was broken and the only way to stop him from crying was to tell him, "He was going fishing." As he got older, he became very athletic and played football, basketball and lifted weights. Marlow received his formal education in Denver, where he attended Wyman Elementary, Gove Middle School and graduated from Manual High School. While in high school, Marlow was voted MVP. It was while in high school when he was 16 years old, Marlow met Sherricka R. Landrum. They fast became a couple. To this union, two beautiful daughters, Jazzmaurie and Alaya were born. Marlow was excited and elated to be a father. The time spent with his daughters was both immeasurable and memorable. They all shared many happy and precious moments together. His wife and daughters meant the world to him. Marlow accepted the Lord as his personal savior at a very early age and was baptized at Denver East Bible Church. He also attended Odom Memorial Church of God in Christ both in Denver, Colorado. By profession, Marlow was employed with IFCO, working in the warehouse. He was hard- working, dedicated and performed his duties with a spirit of excellence. He had been promoted to Swing Supervisor and had been awarded an Employee of the Month Certificate.. Marlow was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed the special moments shared with family and friends. He continued to lift weights and play basketball. He was a man who never met a stranger and had many close friendships. He was full of joy, happiness and carried a jovial personality which made it easy making friends. He loved music and always had song in his heart and mind. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this one of a kind guy. To know Marlow was to love him.
