Inell Riley

January 25, 1927 — May 15, 2014

Inell Riley was born on January 27, 1927, in Rulesville, Mississippi to her parents, Aaron Gray and Annie Washington Gray. She was one of three children born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her sisters, Sadie and Irene. She received her formal education in Mississippi where she attended Rulesville High School. In 1943, Inell relocated to Denver, Colorado. She united in holy matrimony to Horace McClain. To this union Bobby, Harold and Betty were born. She later wed Woodrow Riley and to this union Donna, Paul, Richard, Deborah, Patricia, Woodrow, Jr., and Mark were born. She later met Wesley Irving and to union, Michael was born. All the children remember her as strong, loving and caring mother whose pride and joy was the care and nurture of her family. They also remember her as being wise, compassionate, and giving. She taught her children to be honest and to have strong Christian values. Inell was later blessed to have 47 grandchildren; 106 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren who were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. They all shared many happy and memorable moments together. By profession, Inell was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She was employed by Bella Vila Towers in Denver, Colorado. Her coworkers and employers remember her as being hardworking, dedicated and dependable. She performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. She received a number of awards for her superior service and dedication. She retired after working for over 30 years. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Inell was a faithful and dedicated member of Bethsaida Temple Christian Center. She joined the church under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Earl. O. Holiman. She truly enjoyed sharing with her church family and loved the knowledge she gained as she served the Lord in spirit and in truth. Inell was a fun loving woman who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Central City with her closest friends, Nelly and Lilly. She also loved cooking large family meals and watching her family enjoy dining together. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful lady. To know Inell was to love her. She is preceded in death by four of her children, Bobby, Harold, Deborah and Donna; her parents, Aaron and Annie Gray; a sister, Irene Johnson; and grandchildren, Lundell Riley, Rashid Riley, Kim Johnson, Joshad Irving, Michael Bowers, and Desmond McClain.
