The life of Emma Cooper began on July 27, 1955, in Monrovia, Liberia. She was the sixth child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brother, George and her sisters, Klensiah and Viola. As a child, she loving and willing to help others freely and unconditionally. She was very close to her family and they shared many happy and precious moments together. Emma relocated to the United States a number of years ago. She was the proud mother of a beautiful baby girl she named Eve. They shared a closeness that was undeniably and never ending. Eve remembers her mother as loving, kind and always available when needed. Every word she spoke had meaning. She was later blessed with two grandchildren, Courage and Yamah, who were the apple of her eye. They lovingly called her "Grandma" and fondly remember her as loving them and spending quality time with them. It was the little things she did that made the difference… They too have many happy and memorable moments of time spent together. Emma worked for a number of years at several of the hotel chains in the area. She was hard working, dependable and worked well with others. She performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. Emma was a fun loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed playing games, watching television and conversing with her granddaughters. Her closest friend, Nora Quewon remembers her kind words and friendly demeanor. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this Queen of a Woman who leaves a void that can never be filled. To know Emma was to love her. Emma Cooper departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on May 27, 2014, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Eve Neblett; her two granddaughters, Courage Soko and Yamah Soko all of Denver; her brother, George Linga of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Klensiah Varkpah of Trenton, NJ, Gertrad Varkpah of Monrovia, Liberia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
