Elizabeth Marshbank

March 8, 1950 — July 16, 2012

Elizabeth Mae Marshbank was born in Sioux City, Iowa on March 8, 1950 to the proud parents of William and Lizzie Mae Clifton. Elizabeth was reared and educated in South Sioux City, Nebraska Public Schools. She graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa. In July of 1971 she relocated to Denver, Colorado and later enrolled in school at Emily Griffin where she studied Business Management. Lizzie was united in holy matrimony to Herman Marshbank on June 9, 1998. They met on Thanksgiving and have been together every day since. There were no children born to this union, but Elizabeth had twins, Pete and Paul from a previous marriage. As a child she loved attending church. She attended First Baptist Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska until she was a young adult then she attended Mount Siani Holiness Church in Sioux City, Iowa. For relaxation, Elizabeth loved to listen to music, dance, fish, watch cartoons, and do crossword puzzles, among other things. Elizabeth Mae Marshbank passed away on, Monday, July 16, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Herman Marshbank of Denver; her sons, Pete (Joanne) Clifton and Paul Clifton; eleven grandchildren, Pete, Jr., Tatianna, Jarrell, Salah, Tannya, Tina, Kameron, George, Elizabeth, Ashanti, and Zakiya; two great-grandchildren, Khilen and Joshua; her sisters, Alberta (James) Rogers, Susie (Ruben) Dancer, Barbara Jean Nann, Siena (John) Pearce, Bernice (Ricky) Patterson, Dianna Marshbank; her sister in-law, Shirley Clifton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
