Daisy Warren

July 27, 1921 — July 18, 2014

Daisy Elizabeth Berry-Warren was born in Marshall, Texas to her parents, Tom and Ollie Williams-Berry on July 27, 1921. She was one of nine children. Daisy met and married Johnson Warren. On July 31, 1950, they rejoiced at the birth of their only child, Donald W. Warren. In 1956, the family made their home in Denver, Colorado. Daisy had many interests in her 92 years. Those who knew her know that she was very independent and loved to drive and while doing so she enjoyed shopping greatly. Daisy also enjoyed music. She enjoyed the sounds from Motown and had a very extensive record collection along with an incredible sound system. If you wanted to know what was going on in Current Events, all you needed to do was ask Daisy. She enjoyed talking about politics and the latest news. A couple of other interests that Daisy enjoyed were cooking, gardening and catching up with family and friends over the phone. Daisy attended and was a member of Cleaves Memorial CME Methodist Church in Denver Colorado, where she served as an Usher. On July 26th 1967, Daisy received her certification in Ushering from the National United Ushers Association of America, Incorporated. Daisy also worked as a domestic for many years before taking a job at Continental Airlines where she worked until her retirement in 1975. Those who knew Daisy, know that she chose her friends wisely. She had a large group of good and faithful friends. Her son Donald remembers his Mom as being someone who took good care of her family. He also speaks highly of her honesty. Her only grandchild, Ashley Esau-Warren will remember her grandmother as being generous, independent, nice and mostly funny. Daisy is preceded in death by her husband Johnson Warren and host of many other relatives and friends. Daisy E. Warren of Denver Colorado died of natural causes on Friday, July 18, 2014. Daisy is survived by her son, Donald W. Warren of Denver Colorado and granddaughter, Ashley Esau-Warren of Lakewood Colorado.
