Clintel Anderson

God saw you getting weary, so He did what He thought best; He came and stood beside you whispered, Come and rest." You bade no one a last farewell not even a good-bye. The weary hours, the days of pain, the sleepless nights are past; this ever patient worn out frame has found sweet rest at last. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. Be not burdened with times of sorrow; I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, don't lengthen it now with undue grief; lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now and He set me free. Clintel Anderson was born on May 17, 1917, in Atoka, Oklahoma to her parents, Clinton Anderson and Winnie Lee Sutter Anderson. She was one of 21 children born in the family. Her parents and all her siblings preceded her in death. "Aunt Jenny" as she was affectionately called by her nieces and nephews, loved to read the Bible every day until her eyesight failed her. She is fondly remembered as writing a weekly article in the Atoka County Newspaper before relocating to Aurora, Colorado in November of 1988. She expressed her love of God to others who were both hearing impaired and blind through her articles. She often said, "faith is knowing without seeing, believing without fully understanding, and trusting without touching the one who is ever faithful." Clintel Anderson, at the age of 96, departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on June 28, 2013, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include five nieces; four nephews; several great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
