Cepreano Martinez

January 30, 1986 — May 8, 2014

Cepreano Roberto Martinez was born on January 30, 1986, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Arturo Martinez and Debra HolyElkFace. He was the fifth child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, Antonio "Toney", Tomas "TJ", Arturo "Cunerz and his sisters, Rosebud, Lydia and Lucy. He was affectionately called "B" by family and friends. As a child, he was shared a special closeness with his mother and enjoyed helping care for his younger siblings. He was quiet and obedient. His sister, Lydia remembers how he enjoyed playing in the snow and sledding at Diamond Hill Park. He received his formal education in Denver where he attended the Life Skills Center for Learning. A man of faith and belief in the Lord, "B" was baptized in the Catholic faith at a very young age. He was also very proud of his Native American heritage and believed in the culture and ways of his people. He was one who gladly shared with others the importance of keeping and passing on the wisdom and knowledge of ancestors. "B" was a hardworking man who performed many occupational duties. He was most recently employed as a Counselor for Youth Services. He was truly proud of what he was doing to help and encourage young people to "be all they could and to strive to reach the top." "B" was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed hanging out with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing kickball with his nieces and nephews. His closest friends, Matthew Kanost, Jermie Quintana, and Samme Munoz will the camaraderie they shared together and the fact that he was a true and genuine friend. He will be missed and leaves a void that can be never filled. We know he is in Heaven smiling down on us all. We all will stand tall with the earth under our feet because "The show must go ON!! We love you "B" and your memory will live on forever. Cepreano Roberto Martinez departed this life on May 8, 2014, in Aurora, Colorado.
