Bealie Franklin

July 25, 1915 — April 24, 2013

The life of Bealie Franklin began when he was born on July 20, 1914, in Elmore City, Oklahoma. He was born to the union of James Earl Franklin, Sr. and Elmira Richardson Franklin. He was the first born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, Willis, Earl, James, Alvin, George and his sisters, Dorothy, Varie, Argerine and Susie. Bealie received his early education in Elmore City. In 1938, he relocated to Denver, Colorado. Bealie united in holy matrimony to the former Annie Bell Williams. The couple first met when they both resided in Oklahoma. To this union, Deola and Maurice were born. The family shared many happy and precious moments together. Bealie and Annie have shared 78 years of marital bliss. Later his grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and his one great, great, great grandchild was a source of additional joy and pride in his life. They lovingly called him "Papa" and fondly remember him sharing his vast knowledge and wisdom with them. Bealie was a man who loved to spend quality time with family and friends. He loved listening to the radio while sitting in his car to keep up with local and current events. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football and basketball. For relaxation, Bealie would take long walks for exercise and to enjoy the beauty of living in Colorado.
